As I haven't written any poems for a while, I thought I'd capture the moment with a little rhyming study. This one's called Today.
Today
Today the sky is perfectly blue
The clouds are a candyfloss white
The shivering breeze caresses the trees
And the world is a canvas of light
Today the grass is a glorious green
The lake, a spectacular view
The fountain cascades with colours and shades
And the birds sing their chorus anew
Today the air is deliciously warm
The promise of summer to come
The lingering light, the blossom in flight
The season of Spring has begun
